Update on the V-twin soft tail build. Swing arm frame & components are placed & sized. Shock will be 10.5" spring over air (not pictured) bicycle bottom bracket components are used for swing arm pivot. Forks shown will be widened 1.5" to clear 160 mm disc rotor. Wheels are DOT compliant 17" & tires speed & load rated. 12 mm & 14 mm titanium axle bolts will be used. Custom hub adapter & rotor adapter secure & locate the 160 mm rear rotor. Next step will be to add gussets & lengthen the horizontal drops to the swing arm assembly. Then it's on to the motor & sidecar mount assembly.

Still think about 60" or so wheelbase to house either of my V twin engines. Rick C.

I recently bought a closeout on these clips, as used to hold the rear sheave to the spokes.  They are Stainless Steel, only $15 a set shipping included.  Get them while they last!

Reggie I will get some pictures sent to you as soon as I can. If you have Wayne's jackshaft and kick starter you have almost everything you will need. If you are wanting to put the transmission up under the seat as I did you will need a longer belt. I would take some current photos but I have mine taken apart trying to rework the brake system. With the GC motors you need a different way to brake. Rick moved his pedal down I'm working on a cable system.

There are many additions to the registry, including some sought after early Servi-Cycle info.   It is always important to try to validate characteristics of the bike with serial and frame numbers (along with photos) to see how they coincide with others in the registry.  This registry is a compilation of owner documented bikes as there is no factory list known to exist.

Hey Guys

Thanks for the replies. I am searching you all's threads to get all the information I can. The photos are extremely helpful.  I am sure I will be asking more questions as I go along..  Just received my new Honda GC 190.  At this point the bike is apart and being sanded to be painted. The conversion should go smoothly being that everything was done except changing the motor out and the painting.

That is because Matt, who started this build did not host his pictures here, but used photobucket.

In this thread, starting on page 8, is when Reese took over. He did host his pictures here, so all of his modifications are still shown.

Did you check out my build with the GS190 and Wayne's kick start?  I put up a pretty detailed history how it can be done.
