Eisemann Magneto
« on: August 14, 2016, 06:02:31 AM »
Does anyone know this is an Eisemann magneto for a Simplex?  A guy sent me this photo, and I have no idea.  He got it with other Simplex parts in an auction.

Looks like it!  I have an original printing of Simplex Eisemann exploded view complete with all dimensions on flip side.  Will scan up soon.  But model 71-LE is a match.

Do you have the matching Flywheel? These were only used on pre 1939 models.

Thank you. That’s what I thought. No flywheel unfortunately. A lot of my simplex stuff came from an estate sale here in La.

Wow, even more interesting is the first post up top is the exact one I have. Same serial number, same part
I’m guessing the guy that sent in the first picture was Jose from Redondo Beach.

That was his name! He bought out a storage unit that had a bunch of Simplex parts in it.

It actually all came from an estate sale from Homer Knapp. I made the deal around midnight with Jose and picked up all of the Simplex stuff the following day. That was about a couple years ago
