"If you could come up with a bracket to keep the caliper with the disc as it traveled up and down it would work."

That shouldn't be very difficult to design and fabricate . And , with a bit of creativity , the whole deal could be made to 'look' antique .

If you want an "antique"  look, get really creative and build a perimeter disc brake!  Now that would be cool!

Pete, I'm not retired!  Lol  Hank Young built that kit for Harley's, and I think it was over $1000.

A grand ? Holy perimeter disc brake!  :o
But then , let's not forget it was for Harley 'just take a loan out' Davidson .

I'm guessing Hank Young retired in style . ;)

That ring of stainless likely had something to do with the way over the top price .

Mainly gathering parts but yes Rick... Getting the rear rectangles bent isn't easy without buying a bender but I found someone to make em..waiting on those then it'll go fast.
Got so far..... Frames, forks..(rebuilt that) nice single neck tank(thank you butch)..seat and headlamps..have two useable engines outta the box of parts but on mine I'll probably use a gc190 or 212hf.  Gathered up enough fender parts to graft together two and I have two whizzer ones....wheels are a pain ,may just use motorcycle if nothing happens with them soon.  We are planning to bring at least one to Portland.
